Yoga Anatomy for Upper Body Stabilization

Description: Join us as we explore fundamental yoga anatomy and alignment principles aimed to bring intelligence and harmony to the wrists, shoulders, and shoulder girdle. Enhance the effectiveness of your yoga practice as we examine:
- Common aspects of wrist loading, ways to mindfully distribute force loads throughout the hands and to reduce compression, along with structural variabilities that may make some people more prone to injury.
- The mechanical elements of shoulder impingement occurring in our practices, techniques to reduce the onset of impingement, as well as addressing structural variabilities that require some people to modify their practice more to avoid impingement.
- The fundamentals of maintaining fluid engagement throughout the shoulder girdle to support upper body loading along with common shoulder girdle dysfunction and destabilization in classic yoga poses.
This workshop will offer ample time for practical applications and is ideal for students and teachers looking to strengthen their awareness and practice skills. This workshop is eligible for 2 hours CEU with Yoga Alliance.
